REMINDER ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2022-GES
Management of the GES sends its complements to all staff and wishes to thank them for their unflinching support in implementing education policies.
As the 1st term comes to a close for basic schools – KG, Primary and Junior High Schools, we wish to remind all heads of the calendar for 2022 Academic Year.
Seekersnewsgh, the blog which always sends vital GES information to Teachers directly, also wish to remind Teachers as the second Semester in Senior High Schools and Third term in Basic Schools comes to an end.
First Term
18 January, 2022 to 7 April, 2022
Second Term
10 May, 2022 to 11 August, 2022
Third Term
13 September, 2022 to 15 December, 2022
Senior High Schools
SHS Students to Vacate for the Christmas Holidays on 16th December, 2022.
Most schools are likely to start Exams on 5th December, 2022.

Additionally, contact hours for basic schools are as follows:
7:00am to 2:00pm
7:30am to 2:30pm
8:00am to 3:00pm
These suggested contact hours are dependent on the peculiar circumstances of the community.
By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are to communicate to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education to ensure that Heads of Basic Schools take note and implement accordingly.
