Re-strike Action. All curriculum and extra curricula activists including sports, reading and workshop must Stop .

A monitoring Team sent out by the Teacher Unions have observed some teachers are still working.

In a letter released, sighted by Seekersnewsgh with reference to the joint press conference organized by the unions in the pre-Tertiary Education sector and the subsequent declaration of the strike action on Monday, 4th July, 2022,  we expect all teaching and non teaching staff of GES in Volta and oti region to fully comply by withdrawing all their services.

A joint monitoring team set up by the unions to monitor the strike reported the following.

Most TEWU staff of the Pre-Tertiary institutions are still at post and carrying out their official duties.

Some heads of schools are coercing teachers to invigilate mock examination.

Workshops are being organized by some district directors and heads of institutions.

Sporting and reading festivals are organized and supervised by teachers.

The leadership of the unions in the region would like to reiterate that, the strike action is still in force and that all curriculum and curricula activities should cease with immediate effect until further notice.

By this we wish to remind all stakeholders in education to stop coercing teachers to undertake any activity during this period since it amounts to an infringement of the labour Act 2003 (Act 651)

Teacher must take not and also consider their welfare which includes their living conditions.
