We Need an Online Portal for Transfer Issues- GES Told

The Ghana Education service is yet to commence the transfer of teachers either within the same district, the same region or from one region to the other this year.
GES Commences Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra District Reposting – No Extension After Deadline
The procedure is not different from the others. Teachers have to gather a long list of documents from the Headquarters.
Sometimes, even getting a cover letter from a head teacher becomes a problem.
After that hassle, Teachers have to now go to the District Offices for submissions with follow ups. These according to some teachers is outmoded.
We are in the digital world and now complicated things can be done online.
We just filled out a form for the Ministry of Education, The necessary documents needed were uploaded through an online form.
It’s high time the GES think of something like that.
The Transfer documents can be uploaded online through a Portal For the various offices to work on and do the necessary approval.
The promotion portal can even be used as suggested by other teachers.
A section of the portal can just be used to collect the data just like when we were applying for recruitment how they did it. If your permission for transfer is granted, you just have to get a voucher to check and download the letter.
Some teachers also blame their union leaders for not being innovative in suggesting some of these simple things to the GES to reduce the burden on the Teacher.
