APPLICATION FOR PROMOTION TO THE GRADES DEPUTY DIRECTOR, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR I,
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR II AND PRINCIPAL SUPERINTENDENT

Applications are invited from suitably qualified serving Officers/Teachers for consideration for
promotion to the grade of:

e) Deputy Director
f) Assistant Director I
g) Assistant Director II
h) Principal Superintendent

QUALIFICATION TO APPLY

e) Deputy Director: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director
I on or before 2019 and should have been continuously at the post since the date (except for
periods of approved leave of absence).

f) Assistant Director I: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant
Director II on or before 2019 and should have been continuously in the post since the date (except
for periods of approved leave of absence).

g) Assistant Director II: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal
Superintendent on or before 2019 and should have been continuously in the post since the date
(except for periods of approved leave of absence).

h) Principal Superintendent: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior
Superintendent I on or before 2019 and should have been continuously in the post since the date
(except for periods of approved leave of absence).

Officers/Teachers with Master’s Degrees and Ph.D.

For the avoidance of doubt, applicants who wish to rely on Masters/ Doctorate degrees to join the
interviews out of turn should note the following:

g) Masters /Ph.D. program should be on the approved GES course of study.

h) The Master/Ph.D. certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.

i) Applicants who wish to use the Master/Ph.D. certificates for ADI, ADII, and Deputy Director
Promotion should have obtained their certificate on or before 2021.

MODE OF APPLICATION

All applicants must log on to (www.gespromotions.gov.gh) from Monday, 26th February,
2024 to apply. Please take note of the following:

Complete the APPLICATION FORM and upload a passport-sized photograph.

Upload only your last Promotion or Upgrading or Appointment Letter.

Applicants using Masters/Doctorate Degrees must upload their certificates.

All documents uploaded should be in PDF format except the
passport-sized photograph.

Upload clear and readable documents.

Deadline

The deadline for the online application is 12th April 2024.

Please arrange to bring this advertisement to the notice of all eligible Officers/Teachers
promptly to enable them to meet the DEADLINE indicated above.
