Approved Fees and Charges for Ghana Card Issuance/ Replacement/Renewal

Here are the newly approved fees and Charges for Renewal, Replacement and Issuance of Ghana Card/ ECOWAS Identity Cards to Ghanaians in the country and those in the Diaspora.

Ghanaians in the Country are to pay Ghc 34.50 and Ghanaians in the Diaspora are to pay 10 USD for card issuance.

There are now advance plans to register babies born in the country like in most advanced countries with the Ghana Cards.

How to replace lost or Missing / Damaged Ghana Card anywhere in the Country

The Following Ghana Card Registration and Update will be Ghc 30;All Supporting documents needed

NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD REGISTRATION WORKFLOW (INSTANT ISSUANCE)

Applicants provides documentation
R.O interviews applicants and fills application

If Challenged (YES)

Applicants goes through challenge process (refer to challenge process workflow)

If Challenged (NO)

MRW operator captures biometric information (10 fingers ,iris,& portrait)
MRW operators enters applicants biographic data and scans form and verification
MRW operators captures applicants signature
MRW operator prints receipts for applicant to confirm details
MRW operators hands receipts to applicants together with the forms.
Applicants data goes through online de-duplication
MRW operators checks results of the online de-duplication

HIT (NO)

Card verification officer prints NID card
Verification /Delivery of NID card to the Applicant together with application form.

HIT (YES)

Biometric Adjudication

If at the Biometric Adjudication the HIT is YES

Registration stops(further investigation)

IF at the Biometric Adjudication the HIT is NO

Card verification officer prints NID card
Verification/Delivery of NID card to the Applicant together with application forms.
