Recalling of SHS 3 For WASSCE Registration – GES Redirect Extension of Deadline

GES Release on WASSCE Registration and recall of students from Easter Break by heads to complete their registration.

RECALLING OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL THREE (SHS3) STUDENTS FROM EASTER BREAK

It has come to the attention of the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) that some Heads of
Senior High Schools are recalling SHS3 students from their Easter Break to school to complete the WASSCE
registration exercise.

Management wishes to state that Heads of schools should not recall students to school for the purposes of
the WASSCE registration exercise. Students should be allowed to spend their full Easter Break holidays and
resume school on the appropriate date given on the academic calendar.

Management has taken the necessary steps to have the WASSCE registration period extended by WAEC to
30th April, 2024 to enable all eligible candidates to register successfully for the examination.
By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are requested to communicate this information to all Heads of
Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools for compliance.
