How to Apply for the Laptop

Login to the students loan trustfund platform

Download the laptop request Form

Fill and submit to the Students loan secretariat in your school

You will be given text message immediately indicating Where and when you will get the laptop.

How to Apply for the Smartphone.

The steps are the same as taking a laptop

Login to the students loan website

Download the smartphone request form

Fill and submit to the secretariat

Text message will be sent to you, indicating when and where it will be ready.

Is the laptop scheme a separate loan from the regular student loan?

No, it is part of the normal loan. The cost of the laptop is a portion of the student loan amount.
How do I acquire a laptop?
Download a laptop request form from the SLTF website (www.sltf.gov.gh), fill it and present it at your SLTF zone or campus office.

Where to pick the laptop?

After you have made your request, you will be notified via text message when and where to pick up your machine. It would normally be at your zone or campus office.

How many devices can I apply for?

There is no limit, so long as it can be covered by your loan amount.

How much are the devices?

You will be notified of the cost of the available devices at the time of applying.

How do I pay for my device?

The device is part of the loan you applied for, so it is subject to the same repayment conditions as the normal loan.

Caution

You need to take caution, If you do not need the loan for the laptop or the loan entirely, Do not apply for it as it maybe difficult to pay back the loan.

Many passed student’s names are published on the students loan website for defaulting the loan.

It can take you about 8 years to pay back.

Some even after school getting a job is a very difficult thing hence you must proceed with caution whiles applying for the students loan.
