New Director General of Education Appointed by the President

Dr. Eric Nkansah is the new Director-General of Ghana Education Service.

In a letter sighted by seekersnewsgh from the Office of the President dated 19th October, 2022. The President has has appointed Dr. Eric Nkansah as the new Director of Ghana Education Service.

This follows the  Termination of Prof. Opoku-Amankwa ‘s Appointment as the Director General of Education on Monday 17th October, 2022.

The new Director of Education is to start work on 19th October, 2022.

The letter Reads as Pursuant to section 19 (1), (2) (a) and (b) of the Pre-Tertiary Education Act, 2020 (Act 1049), I am Pleased to inform you that the President as appointed you to act as the Director General of the Ghana Education Service ( the ”Service”) Pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Governing Council of the Service, Given in the Consultation with the Public services Commission.

Your Appointment is effective 19th October, 2022.

I take this to opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment.

Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise within 14 Days of receipt of this letter.
