The Success Of 256 Candidates Who Sued G.E.S Over Promotion Failure Can’t Be Confirmed.

The current status quo of the court battle between 256 teachers who sued the Ghana Education Service over their failure in the last promotion exam seems to continue unabated.

According to a social media message in circulation which could not be confirmed by our team “the embattled 256 candidates who sat for teachers’ promotion exams, 230 have been declared successful after the Minister of Education ordered for remaking which means about 90% are through leaving 26 who couldn’t make it.

In a further check on the websites of all the major traditional media houses in the country, there is no indication of such a news about the success of the 256 candidates or even whether their exam scripts have been referred for remarking.

Verdict: The news that “the embattled 256 candidates who sat for teachers’ promotion exams, 230 have been declared successful after the Minister of Education ordered for remarking which means about 90% are through leaving 26 who couldn’t make it,” remains a rumour and not a fact.

Our team will be monitoring the next court case slated for the hearing of the case to confirm or otherwise of the current allegation
