Disregard Earlier Travel Advisory to Abuja Nigeria – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration

Late Evening of November 16th November, 2022, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration issued a RED ALERT to non – essential travel to Abuja Nigeria.

This  follows an unstable Security at Abuja, referring to the Shut down of Hotels operating  in Residential buildings due to certain dangers such as Criminal activities, Kidnapping, armed attack and inter communal conflict.  Travel Advisory on Security Updates in Abuja Nigeria Alert to all.

The Ministry has just issued a press again asking travelers to disregard the earlier press of the security risk in travelling to Abuja Nigeria as there is no threat they are aware of.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to refer to the travel advisory published on 16th November, 2022 advising against non-essential travel to Abuja and wishes to state that the statement was unauthorized.

The ministry is not aware of any threat targeted at Ghanaians who continue to live in harmony with their Nigeria brothers and sisters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration regrets any inconvenience this may have caused to the travelling public.
