Dues Deduction From 2021 to June 2022 to be Reversed – GNAT

In a recent letter cited by seekersnewsgh.com GNAT members seem to be over deducted and their funds are to be refunded by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department.
The letter Reads
DEDUCTION OF GNAT DUES (GHS 1.32) IN RETRO FROM JANUARY 2021 TO JUNE 2022
Our attention has been drawn to the above deductions from some of our members between January, 2021 and June, 2022.
Our checks from the Controller and Accountants General’s Department indicates that this was because of the 2021 increment of the 4% base pay.
It must be placed on record that the dues is increase automatically upon a written letter to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department. However, in 2021 we did not write to the Controller and Accountants General’s Department to increase the GNAT dues.
We therefore urge your outfit to reverse this dues arrears in 2021 with immediate effect and credit same to all the affected members of GNAT.
