Fasting and Prayers declared by suffering NABCO Trainees on Nov 9 for their allowance
Fasting and Prayers declared by suffering NABCO Trainees on Nov 9 for their allowance.
A statement issued by the trainees (NABCO) said: “Some of the suffering NABCO trainees are to fast and pray on Wednesday, November 9th 2022, [for] God to touch the heart of government to hear our cry and pay us.
“NABCO trainees sacrificed their life for Ghana for 46 tough months (3years, 10month).”
NABCO was introduced by the Akufo-Addo-led administration in 2017 as part of measures to address graduate unemployment in the country.
The initiative was run under seven modules, namely Educate Ghana, Heal Ghana, Feed Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Digitize Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, and Civic Ghana.
Here is the press release
FASTING AND PRAYERS DECLARED BY SUFFERING NABCO TRAINEES.
Theme: Oh Lord Hear our Cry and Change their Heart.
Bible verses: *Psalm 61:1 and Proverb 21:1*
Some of the Suffering NABCO TRAINEES are to *FAST* and *PRAY* on Wednesday, November 9th 2022 to God to touch the heart of our leaders to hear our cry and pay us.
NABCO TRAINEES sacrifice their life for Ghana for 46 tough months (3years, 10month)
These young men and women accepted to take 700ghc at end of every month and equally work hard as those who take not less than 2000ghc on the same working field with the promise that we will be considered when the the opportunity comes.
Unfortunately for us after 46 months of sacrifice, we were just told to go home sadly.
By that time the government was owing us 10 months stipends.
We pleaded for long time and the government insulted us with one month stipend.
It is only God who knows the hardship these innocent trainees went through for these 46 months and still going through
We have done anything humanly to get our due remaining stipends but it has not been fruitful.
Therefore we are turning to God for his intervention by fasting and prayers on *Wednesday, 9th November 2022* for God to change the heart of these leaders towards us in this arduous time for them to pay what is due us.
It is written in the book of _*Psalm 61:1 that, (Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.)*_ and in _*Proverb chapter 21:1 that* ( _*The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord ; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases*_).
Therefore, we are all going to fast and pray to the Lord for Him to hear our cry to direct the heart of our leaders to help us in this trial time.
We entreat every trainee to be part of this one day fasting and prayers
We believe by the end of this fasting and prayers God will pave way to where there seems to be no way.
