FC Savannah Ladies attacked by armed robbers.
The team bus was ambushed by gun men on the highway as they robbed them of their possessions.
One official of the club got injured and has been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
“Thanks to Allah, the team has arrived safely in Kumasi. All players are fine but one official sustained injuries. Meanwhile the robbers made away with monies of the persons on board published on their twitter page.
Part of the bus was damaged with gun holes. According to the ladies some of them were beaten by the robbers and lashed with anything they get.
The ladies are alive but most of them feel very weak because of the beaten.
The club gave an update on the incident that it is the second time this season a Ghanaian club have been attacked by robbers on their way to Premier League.
Ashantigold SC were attacked last month while returning to Obuasi after a Ghana Premier League game against Hearts of Oak in the capital.
