Studielink Guide | Studielink Contact | DUO Contact; Are you planning to embark on a higher education journey in the Netherlands? Understanding Studielink, the online platform that streamlines your enrolment process, is crucial. Here’s a comprehensive step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

Navigating Studielink: Your Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Accessing Studielink Visit Studielink through the official website of your prospective higher education institute

2: How Studielink Works Before diving into your enrolment application, a few preliminary steps are necessary. If possible, apply for a DigiD, your ‘Digital ID,’ which grants access to Studielink and various Dutch government websites. Bear in mind that DigiD activation takes a few days, so initiate the process well ahead of study programme deadlines, particularly for those with selection procedures.

No DigiD? No Problem!

If obtaining a DigiD isn’t feasible, fret not. You can establish a Studielink account by selecting ‘Create a Studielink Account’ under ‘Log in without DigiD.’ After submitting your identity document and additional details, activate your new account via the provided email link and log in.

Step 3: Enrolment Application Upon logging in, you’ll be seamlessly guided through the process of submitting your application for a Dutch study programme. Note that creating an account is contingent on filling out an application.

  • Previous Education: Start by entering your educational background.
  • Programme Selection: Choose the desired programme from the list. Refine your search by programme name or institution. Respond to institute-specific questions and verify your information.
  • Congratulations! If all is well, you’ve submitted your enrolment application. But there’s more to be done.

4: To-Do List and Further Steps Find your next action in your personal Studielink Dashboard’s “To Do List.” The university or applied sciences institution will reach out with subsequent steps such as identity verification, prior education validation, selection procedures, and payment. Stay vigilant about messages in your Studielink inbox!

Navigating Numerus Fixus

For certain programmes with more applicants than available spots, known as ‘Numerus Fixus programmes,’ a selection process is required. Look for the blue ‘Numerus Fixus’ label. Additional selection details are available on your university’s website.

Termination of Enrolment

Terminating enrolment is done via the <Terminate enrolment> option. This request results in the end of your enrolment in the current academic year from the first day of the upcoming month.

Not Reenrolling

Opting to ‘not reenrol’ is achieved through the <I do not wish to re-enrol> option. This choice indicates your intention to end your enrolment by the conclusion of the academic year, specifically on August 31.

Step 1: Access Your Studielink Account
Log in to your Studielink account. On the left side of your dashboard, locate your enrolments. Click the red ‘Terminate enrolment’ button to initiate a termination request.

2: Fill in the Termination Request Form
You’ll encounter the <Add request for termination of enrolment> form. Complete the form by specifying the reason for termination and the date you intend to terminate your enrolment. For instance, if your request is in April, the earliest possible termination date is May 1. Respond to institution-specific queries if applicable.

 3: Confirm and Submit
Affirm your request by checking the provided box and then select the blue <Confirm> button. Your request will be dispatched to your institution for higher education and subsequently processed.
