As we approach the end of the year and celebrate the holiday season, there is some exciting news coming from the Ministry for Finance in Ghana. The government has approved a free training program for private school teachers and owners, with 4,000 participants set to benefit from the program.
The program, which will be held at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), aims to enhance the professional competencies and academic upgrading of these educators.
This is a welcome move by the government, as it recognizes the important role that private schools play in the education system of Ghana.
Private schools in Ghana have often struggled to access the same resources and opportunities as their public counterparts.
This training program represents a significant step forward in providing private school teachers and owners with the support they need to improve the quality of education they provide to their students.
The GNACOPS organization has been working tirelessly to redefine the role of private education in Ghana and across Africa, and this training program is just one example of their efforts. We are grateful to the government for their support of this initiative and hope that this recognition will continue in the future.
As we celebrate the holiday season and look towards the new year, let us remember the importance of education and the role that private schools play in providing opportunities for students. We hope that this training program will be the first of many major efforts to support the development and growth of private education in Ghana.
