Ghana Teachers declare Strike Do you go to school Tomorrow? Here is what the Unions want you to do.

After  publishing the news on Teachers strike, some New teachers seem not to know what to do exactly,

seekersnewsgh.com speaking with a Teacher union, brought these clarifications .

As the strike has been declared by  the Teacher Unions, the strike is indefinite, All teachers are not to report to school.  Yes you can stay at home.

What if I am called by the Headteacher to come to school?

The headteachers are not your employers hence can not call you back to school. You are to remain at home until further notice.

What happens to the students who will come to school?

That is your back case, government will take care of them.

The strike is for both Teaching and Non-teaching staff.

Today, 4th July, 2022, Ghana Teacher Unions together declared a Nationwide indefinite strike over government’s failure to pay their Cost of living Allowance, CoLA.

Confirmed We are on Strike starting from today- Teachers on Strike

Teachers demanded for the Cost of living allowance to be paid by June Ending but that did not materialized.

The newly Trained teachers are also worried, some have received their Staff IDs and some are yet to receive theirs, the second batch that received their staff IDs have not yet received their salaries and are asking how the Strike is going to affect them.
