How to make Claims from SIC Insurance
Visit the portal and click on the claim and enter the details provided below to make your request.
Mostly after registering for insurance, visit the Office to confirm before making payments.
Get the contact of the Agent but don’t depend on the Agent for all your queries since they can quit the Job without informing you.
If you need your claim, aside from visiting the Online Portal to fill out the forms, you can also visit their office for them to assist you to avoid any mistakes.

Motor Vehicle
Steps to follow to help us process your motor claim:
Report the accident to the Police
Provide a photocopy of the driver’s license and complete a motor claim form
Provide pictures of the accident vehicle, clearly showing the registration number
Furnish them with an estimate of the cost of repairs
Do not admit liability or settle or negotiate to settle, or make any payment without SIC consent
Don’t effect repairs before we inspect the damage to the vehicle
Submit all claims, writs, and letters from third parties to SIC unanswered
Who can make a claim?
The Policyholder (Insured)
Anyone whose property has been damaged by the insured’s vehicle
The injured victim(s)
Administrators of a deceased estate
Parents or guardians in the case of minors
Period within which to make a claim
Injury/Death – up to 3 years from the date of the accident
Damage – up to 6 years from the date of the accident
Just write a letter of claim directly to us as soon as practicable but within the period stated above.
Some circumstances under which your motor claim will be Repudiated
Where there was no insurance cover for the vehicle at the time of the accident
An unlicensed person was driving
Where your vehicle was driven without your consent or permission
There is a change of ownership of the vehicle insured
Using the vehicle for unauthorized purposes
Also Using the vehicle whilst the driver was drunk
Statute-barred claims – where the claim was not submitted within the three(3) or six(6) years period

Generally, when an accident occurs, you should comply with the following;
Report the incident to the police or fire service (in case of fire)
Contact us immediately and complete a claim form for the specific cover
Take all steps to protect the damaged property for inspection by us
Do not settle or negotiate to settle, admit or repudiate any claim without our consent
Submit all relevant documentary evidence in respect of the loss to us
Submit all claims, writs, or letters from third parties to us unanswered
