REGISTRATION OPENS FOR DEFAULTERS AND PRIVATE CANDIDATES FOR THE 2025/2026 SERVICE YEAR

The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) wishes to inform the public that registration for defaulters and private candidates for the 2025/2026 service year is officially open.

This exercise is specifically open to Ghanaian citizens who, after completing tertiary education, were unable to enroll in the national service program in previous years. Eligible applicants include:

  1. Private candidates whose credentials are certified by accredited tertiary institutions.
  2. Ghanaian nationals who have studied abroad.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
Applicants must submit the following:

  1. A letter requesting a PIN Code or reactivation of a PIN Code (addressed to the Director-General of NSA).
  2. Attestation letter from the institution attended.
  3. Certified true copy of the school certificate.
  4. Copy of the Ghana Card and Student ID.
  5. For foreign-trained applicants, inspection of passport.
  6. Payment of a GHC 50.00 processing fee.
  7. Original copies of these documents must be attached for verification.

SUBMISSION DETAILS
All eligible applicants must submit their registration documents at any NSA Regional Office nationwide or at the Headquarters in Accra during working hours.

Registration Period:

  • Start Date: Monday, March 17, 2025
  • End Date: Friday, July 18, 2025
    (Excluding weekends and public holidays)

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Per the National Service Authority Act (426), every Ghanaian citizen who has attained the age of 18 years or more and has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated to undertake national service to the State.
