Update on Public sector Workers salary Negotiations

The Labour Unions are to issue an Official  communique soon, but currently here is what seekersnewsgh has gathered.

The meeting was held today, Wednesday, 23rd November, 2022 between Government and Labour unions on 2023 salary Negotiations.

Government has increase the  percentage to 15% plus COLA, Organised labour rejected the  15% from government and  still insist on 60%

No agreement reached by the parties, and hence the meeting has been called off indefinitely.

The labour unions, we learnt  started from 140% before coming  down to the 60%. so they will not back down on the 60%.

The Labour Unions says the 60% increment is indirectly equivalent to only 18% net effect increment.

According to the Labour Unions the 15% CoLA is ending in December, so 15% proposal by government has a net effect of zero percent.
