Official GES Vacation and Reopening Date for Schools 2023

Here is the official Vacation and Reopening  Dates released by the Ghana Education Service for schools.

Some Teachers are worried over attendance   as students have already prepared for ”OUR DAY” Celebrations on 15th December.

School is to be in session on 16th December, 2022 to make room for the National  Standardized Test.

VACATION DATE FOR PUBLIC BASIC SCHOOLS – THIRD TERM 2022 ACADEMIC YEAR

RE-OPENING DATE FOR PUBLIC BASIC SCHOOLS FIRST TERM 2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform you that the vacation date for Public Basic Schools for the Third Term has been shifted to Friday 16th December, 2022.

This is to enable the Primary Four (P4) pupils to write the National Standardised Test on Friday, 1 6th December, 2022.

The re-opening date for the First Term of the next academic year is 10th January, 2023

By this letter, Regional Directors are kindly requested to communicate this information to the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to inform all Heads of Basic Schools to take note and act accordingly.

Senior High schools will be vacating on 16th December, 2022.
