Murder at Sewua, suspect Emmanuel Boateng upon thorough interrogation confessed to the crime and led police to his room where the deceased iPhone 11 Pro was retrieved.
Suspect told police that he owned deceased some money and deceased demanded same from him to enable him prepare for school.
Suspect claimed he could not raised the money and as such yesterday( 22/04/2022) around 07: 30hrs he lured the deceased to the crime scene with the pretext that the mother had bought a building plot and so deceased should accompany him to the place and take pictures of the place for him.
Suspect claimed when they got there he excused the deceased that he was attending nature’s call and asked deceased to sit and wait for him.
Whilst deceased sat and was unsuspectingly making a call, suspect picked a stick which he had hidden in the bush and strike deceased neck with same.
Deceased fell and fainted and suspect subsequently picked deceased phone and left the place.
Luck eluded suspect as some neighbours saw the deceased and the suspect around the crime scene in the morning of yesterday 22/04/22 and suspected him. Suspect will be arraigned before court as soon as possible.
In earlier development
22/04/22 at about 5:25pm, police Feyiase had information that an unknown male adult was lying dead in the bush at Sewua.
Police proceeded to Sewua and were accompanied to the scene by Hon Prince Agyekum, the Assembly member for Sewua and some traditional leaders where a male adult dressed in red t-shirts and blue jeans trousers identified as Nana Gyamfi aged 22, a level-200 student of KNUST was found lying on his left lateral dead with a pair of sandals lying beside the body.
Inspection conducted on the body revealed a swollen on the neck and blood oozing from the nostrils. A stick suspected to have been used to hit the deceased was also found about twenty meters away from the body.
The scene was photographed and body conveyed to KATH where deceased was certified dead. Body deposited at the same hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
Preliminary investigation disclosed that at about 9:00am one Emmanuel Boateng, a friend to the deceased visited him in his house at Esaso-Kwablafo near Esereso and the two later went out but deceased did not return home until discovered dead in the bush.

COMMENTS: Deceased was reported to have left the house with his friend Emmanuel Boateng holding iPhone 11 Pro. But the said phone was not met at the scene.
It is highly suspected that deceased might have been lured to the scene and murdered just for the phone since the scene was not met disturbed. The friend Emmanuel Boateng has been arrested for investigation. Autopsy will be performed on the body soon.
