When Will GES recruit New Graduates

The Ghana Education Service (GES) initiates recruitment for new graduates when the Ministry of Finance grants financial clearance.

This recruitment serves to fill vacancies left by departing or retiring teachers.

The process begins with schools declaring their vacancies, which are then aggregated at the district and regional levels before being compiled at GES headquarters.

Teachers returning from study leave help address these gaps, and if there’s still a substantial need for Teachers, the government will undertake further recruitment.

In the upcoming 2024 Budget Statement reading, we hope for positive news from the government, despite potential IMF conditionalities.

Fraud

It’s important to be aware of fraudulent schemes on social media offering permanent GES postings in exchange for payment.

Avoid engaging with these individuals, as they often request payment upfront or claim they’ll complete the process before you pay, but they typically disappear with your money.

Authentic GES appointment letters can be downloaded from the GES Portal and are not handed over in envelopes.

If you encounter any issues or uncertainties, the GES Head office is available for assistance.

Given the challenges of obtaining money, it’s essential to remain cautious and vigilant.
