Call for applications: recruitment of language assistants for the 2022-2023 school year

The recruitment campaign for English language assistants in France for the 2022-2023 school year is open until February, 13th 2022.

Who is eligible?

Ghanaian citizens
Between 20 and 35 years old
Enrolled in a university at the time of application (minimum level 300)
A minimum Level B1 in French is required (certified by a French teacher)

Missions

This program allows the individuals to immerse themselves in the French Language, to introduce the Ghanaian culture to French pupils and also to benefit from a first professional teaching experience alongside with French language teachers. The assistant’s role is to improve pupils’ communication skills and to deepen their knowledge of a different culture. He supports the teachers of the school he is assigned to. Positions can be offered from basic school to the French equivalent of Senior High School.

Details of the mission

Duration: 7 months from October, 1st 2022 to April, 30th 2023.
Weekly work of 12 hours in class, in addition to the preparation time of classes and activities.

Remuneration:

The net monthly salary of an assistant working in France is 785€, with a first payment in November 2022. France Éducation International requires language assistants to save 1000€ upon departure.

Insurance:

The assistants are insured through the French Social Security for the duration of their contract. A civil liability insurance and a mutual insurance will be required.

Visa:

The French Embassy in Ghana grants a free visa for the language assistants.

Transportation:

The French Embassy in Ghana will offer flight tickets for 10 assistants.

Accommodation:

Accommodation in France is the responsibility of the assistant. It is therefore essential to find out about the rental property price in France and the disparities between the academies. Some schools offer accommodation for the language assistants. It is important to contact them early to book it.

Two seminars will take place on Wednesday, January 19th at 10am and on Wednesday, January 26th at 6pm, we will give you all the information about this program and we will answer all your questions.
