Interior Minister Ambrose Dery Declares 21st September 2023, as a Statutory Public Holiday for Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day

The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, has officially announced that 21st September 2023, will be observed as a statutory public holiday across the Republic of Ghana. The declaration is in commemoration of Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day

This special day celebrates the founder of Ghana and His significant contributions to the country’s independence and development. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Dr.  Kwame Nkrumah laying the foundation for a prosperous Nation.

Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this public holiday to participate in events and activities that promote unity, patriotism, and reflection on Ghana’s history. It presents an opportunity for Ghanaians to reconnect with their roots and celebrate the rich cultural heritage that defines the nation.
