Confirmation of Results
This service provides a certified statement of results that holds the same validity as an original certificate. It is not issued directly to individuals but is sent to institutions of higher learning, public bodies, and prospective employers (public or private).
Requirements for Requesting Confirmation:
If you need WAEC to forward your results to an organization or institution, you must provide the following:
- Your full name as used during the examination.
- Name, month, and year of the examination for which results are required.
- Index number(s) used in the examination(s).
- Two passport-size photographs. These photos must be endorsed at the back by one of the following individuals, who also guarantees your identity as the legitimate candidate:
- Head of your present/former school.
- Head of a recognized educational institution.
- A senior officer of the security services (rank of Major/Superintendent or equivalent, or above).
- A senior public servant (Principal Executive Officer and above).
- A qualified registered medical practitioner (herbalists are not accepted).
- A barrister/solicitor.
Fees for Confirmation/Verification and Related Services
The fees are subject to revision, and do not include courier/delivery services.
- Issuing of confirmed statement of results to local/foreign destinations: GH¢150.00 per statement per examination.
- Bulk confirmation of results: GH¢100.00 per statement per examination.
- Bulk Verification of results: GH¢75.00 per document.
- On-line verification of results for tertiary institutions and organizations: GH¢10.00 per result per candidate.
- Verification of results/identity: GH¢150.00 per document.
- Establishment of equivalence/interpretation of statement of results: GH¢150.00 per statement.
Payment Methods:
- Cash: At the nearest WAEC Office.
