    Oregon Child Support Program (OCSP)

    The Oregon Child Support Program (OCSP) is a state-run program that assists both custodial and non-custodial parents in establishing and enforcing child support orders.

    The OCSP is responsible for setting up payment plans when a parent does not voluntarily pay, enforcing court orders, providing education and counseling, and keeping up to date with current laws.

    The OCSP also offers assistance with finding a parent that is not paying child support. In addition to this, the OCSP administers incentive and reward programs to encourage timely payment of child support.

    Cuyahoga Child Support Enforcement Agency

    The Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CCSEA) is the agency responsible for enforcing child support orders in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

    The Process for Applying

    Visit the Child Support Customer Service Web Portal, click the “Login or Register” button, and follow the on-screen instructions.

    When registering as a first-time customer, you will:

    Establish a User ID and Password. *
    Identify the type of user – payee or payor. Payee is the person ordered to receive support. Payor is the person ordered to pay support.

    You must have:

    Active email address.
    Child Support Case Number.
    Social Security Number.
    Web ID which is the participant number. **
    Last four digits of account number or e-Quick pay card number where child support is deposited (person receiving support only).

    I am a registered user. Can I inactivate my account?
    Yes. To inactivate your account, sign into the portal, select your name in the top ribbon bar, and choose Update Profile Info. On the Profile Update menu, select the Inactivate Account button. A confirmation menu will prompt you to accept the deletion.

    I am a registered user. Can I change my last name in the account?
    No. You need to contact the help desk to change your last name.

    I am a registered user. Can I change my employer’s name?
    No. If you wish to change your employer’s name, you will have to re-register.

    I am a registered user. Can I add a service?
    You can request a new service to be added by contacting the help desk.

    How do I change my password?

    Select the Forgot / Change Password link on the login page. You will need to answer challenge questions that were setup during registration.

    Can I change the answers to my challenge questions?
    Yes, you can change the answers to your challenge questions by selecting your name in the top ribbon bar, and choose Update Profile Info after you log in.

     

    How long does it take for new members to obtain access to the Child Support Portal?
    Once verification of your information is complete, you will receive a one-time use activation code via e-mail within seven business days. If it is past seven business days and you have not received your activation code, please contact the help desk.

    I forgot my activation code, how can I activate my account?
    You need to contact the help desk.

    I submitted my registration request two weeks ago and have yet to receive my activation code. What should I do?
    You need to contact the help desk.

    How do I change my password?
    Follow the Forgot / Change Password link on the login page. You will need to answer challenge questions that were setup during registration.

    Yes. Once you successfully register with this portal using a single sign-on, you can access all online services you are authorized to use.

    How often do I need to change my password?
    Every 60 days the system will prompt you to change your password.

    How many concurrent sessions can I run?
    One.

    Do I need a PIV card to access the Child Support Portal?
    Federal employees and federal contractors are required to use a PIV card. PIV cards from other users will not be accepted. If you are not a federal employee or contractor, sign on to the Child Support Portal by using your portal registration user ID and password.

    Registration is free.

    How long does it take to complete the online registration process?
    The Registration process takes about ten minutes, provided you are able to complete all required fields.

    Can I interrupt the registration process and continue at a later time?
    No, you will need to start the Registration process again.

    No. Only after your account is active will you be able to update selective data in your account.

    How is my personal information protected?
    Your personal information will not be disclosed, given out, sold, or transferred unless required for law enforcement by statute.

    How to Apply for Child Support

    Custodial or non-custodial parents may apply for services at the local agency in their county of residence, or they may obtain an application from the website.

    A non-refundable processing fee of $25.00 (money order or certified check) is required at the time of application.

    How child support Amounts are Decided

    Child Support Services follows guidelines established by State Law in establishing support amounts.

    Child Support Services has legal authority to charge fees for services provided.

    Can you take a paternity Test

    Before the court can order child support and medical support, paternity must be established. Effective July 1, 2015, paternity testing is mandatory in all DCSS Child Support Cases if paternity has not already been established.

    Paternity Testing is also available to alleged fathers if paternity has been previously established by a court order, marriage or Voluntary Paternity Acknowledgment and is being disputed.

    If paternity has not already been established or paternity has been established but is being disputed, DCSS will order that a paternity test be conducted. Testing is done by Buccal Swabbing (saliva) or by drawing a blood sample. The test is more than 99% accurate.

    Collection of money for unpaid medical bills

    You must obtain a judgment for unpaid medical bills and provide a certified copy of the judgment to your local Child Support office. Child Support will then take action to collect the judgment.

    Status of your Case

    Registered customers can review actions taken on their case via the DCSS Mobile Application by accessing Case Function on the Home screen of the GA Child Support Portal.

    If a customer does not have access to a mobile device or the internet, the Customer Contact Center can be contacted by calling 1-844-MYGADHS (1-844-694-2347).

    Customers can also visit a local child support office.

    18 years child still in school but child support has stopped

    Any Georgia court order issued after 1993 establishing child support amounts should provide for support to continue until the child turns 18.

    If the child is still in high school past the age of 18, support will continue until the child finishes high school or reaches the age of 20, whichever occurs first.

    If your court order was issued prior to 1993 or in a state other than Georgia, support is due as indicated in the court order.

    Generally, Georgia court orders entered prior to 1993 cannot be modified to extend support past the child’s 18th birthday.

    Fatherhood and Visitation Policies

    Through the Fatherhood Program, DCSS works with parents who are unemployed or underemployed to help them to pay their full child support obligation.

    The program assists parents with locating resources leading to careers or employment paying above minimum wage, increased self-sufficiency, and financial involvement in the lives of their children.

    Visitation 

    The Child Access and Visitation Program addresses the needs of non-custodial parents who want visitation with their children.

    Research has shown that parental contact is related to the payment of child support and the father’s involvement in the lives of his child(ren) improves the child’s development and self-esteem.

    To qualify for this program, the non-custodial parent must have an active case with DCSS.

    TANF/GAP

    Temporary Assistance for Needy Families is a public assistance cash grant that is provided to households with qualifying minor children.

    To apply for TANF, go to the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in the county where you live.

    The amount of child support you received will depend upon your household Standard of Need and the amount of your TANF grant.
