Beware of Tax Scam: Ghana Revenue Authority Issues Warning

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has issued a warning regarding a tax scam involving a financial app called “PEPSI.”

The GRA emphasizes that the only legitimate platform for tax payments is the GRA’s TAXPAYERS PORTAL linked to the GHANA.GOV PORTAL.

They have not authorized any third party to collect taxes on their behalf and consider the use of PEPSI for tax payment a fraudulent attempt to defraud taxpayers.

To report such incidents, individuals are encouraged to contact the nearest Police Station or the GRA. Be vigilant and safeguard your financial transactions to protect against potential scams.

The Release Reads as follows,

SCAM ALERT!!! PAYMENT OF TAXES ON “PEPSI APP”

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has received several complaints from sections of the taxpaying public who are being requested to pay taxes, especially income tax, on a financial app known as PEPSI.

GRA wishes to inform the general public, especially our cherished taxpayers and customers that, the only platform designated for payment of taxes is the GRA’S TAXPAYERS PORTAL which is directly linked to the GHANA.GOV PORTAL.
