INVITATION TO THE NATIONAL ROLL-OUT OF DEPARTMENTAL
PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITY (PLC) HANDBOOK 3 TRAINING ON THE NEW SENIOR HIGH/SENIOR HIGH TECHNICAL SCHOOLS AND SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS CURRICULUM
Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES), National Council for Curriulum and Assessment (NaCCA) and National Teaching Council (NTC) are in preparation for the National Roll-Out of the Departmental Professional Learning Community Handbook, following the successful Roll-Out of the introduction to the Standard Based SHS/SHTS and STEM Curriculum handbooks.
In view of the above subject matter, Heads of Departments are invited to the School Level
Facilitator Training Workshop on the New PLC handbook as follows:
Arrival: Sunday, 5th May, 2024
Training Dates: Monday, 6th May – Friday, 10th May 2024
Departure: Saturday, 11th May 2024
NB: All invited participants are to bring along a functioning laptop and should be computer
literates. Heads of Departments who are not computer literates should be replaced.
Residential participants will NOT be served dinner on arrival.
By this letter, all Heads of SHS/SHTS are kindly requested to communicate this improtant
activity to their Heads of Departments and ensure their participation.
Please find attached the list of Schools, the expected number of participants, centres, residential
statuses and Hotel allocation.

Training Protocol
Welcome Address by Organisers and from the Regional Directors on Day one, registration Sharing of resources and purpose of training is shared with Participants
Daily session of training strart from 7;00am to 5;30PM or 6:00 PM. The training is highly intentive.
You are required to be there from the start to close of day hence you will need to sign in and sign out on daily basis.
Is Training allowance Given?
Well as many of you keep asking, as to whether training allowance is given, the information we have indicates that, there is no training allowance given to participants.
However commuting to the training grounds daily can merit you some TnT compensations.
Is Item 13 Assured:
For Item 13 Yes, it is assured 100%, anything that you need.
You are to learn to come and fascilitate the PLC Sessions in your Department and School.
