2023/24 National Service (NSS) Registration, All needed Documents

National service is for all Ghanaian graduates whether you schooled in Ghana or in Abroad.

The National Service programme is a compulsory one-year service required of all citizens of Ghana who are 18 years and above, at the time of deployment.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION

 

All Final year students details are sent by the schools to NSS before graduations for the service to generate a unique pincode for all students. This pincode is for all students, whether you will do the service or not.

Students are to pay to activate this pin codes before use. This is the first requirement from all students.

HOW TO REGISTER AND ACTIVATE THE NSS PINCODE

The first thing is to generate your unique code from The NSS portal;

Now to generate your code, the items needed are

i. your index number

ii. your full and correct date of birth.

Here you must know that if your date of birth submitted to NSS is different from the one you are using, you can not generate the pincode. Kindly check from your school to get your correct date of birth.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM

Pay for the pin code. The amount is specified every year before the service begins during the National Service Orientation across the country.

After you have paid for the pin code, it will be activated.

Now go ahead and use the Pin code together with your index number to to register.

HOW MUCH IS NSS ALLOWANCE

The current NSS allowance given is Ghc 715.57 and it will be paid into your e-zwich.

PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT DO NATIONAL SERVICE

Candidates for national service may, on application, be exempted from service by the Board, on production of valid documentary evidence establishing that:
i. They have undertaken national service at an earlier date.
ii. They have attained or will attain the age of forty (40) years on commencement of that year’s national service
