VC’s could face 20 yrs imprisonment for unaccredited university courses
The various VC’s are given 1 year to register programmes or face 20 years imprisonment .
According to the Auditor General’s Report, the various universities are running programmes without accreditation.

Only 61 out of 360 programmes offered by KNUST accredited – Auditor-General’s report
For KNUST, accreditation for programmes including
B.A. Political Science,
B.Sc. Computer Engineering,
B.Sc. Computer Science,
MPhil Political Science,
MSc Mathematics PhD English,
PhD Sociology have expired.
Some of the unaccredited programmes at the University of Ghana include;
Diploma in Environmental Health,
M.A. Communication Studies,
