Cecilia Dapaah arrested

Former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, has been arrested by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on charges of suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses.

The arrest comes after a significant amount of money and valuable items were allegedly stolen from her residence.

Mrs. Dapaah resigned from her position on July 22, 2023, and was subsequently placed under arrest on July 24, 2023.

The OSP has confirmed that she is currently being questioned by authorized officers.
