Instead of checking via the online portal, follow this alternative method:
As soon as WAEC releases the results, an error checking template is sent to the school. The purpose is for the schools to confirm the names of students who registered and wrote the exams and to verify if their results are captured before the final certificates are printed and delivered to the school.
This template is a lengthy paper, similar to a graph sheet but longer and wider. It contains candidates’ names, index numbers, subjects, and grades.
If a candidate did not write one of the papers, that section will be empty.
When the online results are ready, this file is also prepared.
Visit your school and approach the head teacher or the school office.
Request them to check your results for you, specifying that you are not using the online portal.
Your name will be located in the file, and your results will be written for you.
Checking your results for free does not require a link.
Here is also the online method for checking your BECE results.
