Call off the Strike – National Labour Commission to Teacher Unions

Rescind the decision and discontinue the strike action – NLC

A letter published by the National Labour commission is urging the Teacher Unions to discontinue their strike action to pave way for engagements.

It has said in its letter, government must engage with the aggrieved Teacher Unions immediately upon receipt of the correspondence to negotiate settlement for their grievances within 7 days and furnish the commission with report upon completion.

However the Ghana Education service has also called the Teacher unions for a meeting and directing the Head Teachers together with their management teams to keep the school opened.

Teacher Unions together have declared a Nationwide strike over government failure to provide cost of living allowance.
