In view of the fact that this year’s Ramadan will end on either Thursday 20th, or Friday 21″, of April 2023, the management of Islamic Education Unit on behalf of the National Council of Islamic Education Unit declares Thursday 20th, and Friday 21, April 2023 respectively holiday to enable Muslims of the unit to end and observe this year’s fasting, prayer and Id Fitr celebration successfully.

This will be observed in line with the legislative instrument by the act of parliament concerning the celebration of Idul Fitr across the country. Per the Islamic calendar, the Id will be performed either on Friday 21″, or Saturday 22nd, of April 2023.

It is therefore expected that all muslims under the Islamic Education Unit in Ghana and for that matter all schools under Islamic Education Unit should observe the directive given above.
