Education Minister Explains How Teachers are adequately equipped with the right resources for transformational Education in Ghana

Education Minister of Ghana, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, spoke at the Africa Human Capital Heads of State Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, about the government’s commitment to improving the education sector. He emphasized President’s determination to transform the country’s economy through various initiatives.

During his speech, Dr. Adutwum highlighted the success of removing the cost barrier for education, resulting in a significant increase in enrollment from 800,000 to 1.4 million students. This change has enabled more financially disadvantaged individuals to access formal education beyond Junior High School.

Dr. Adutwum explained how teachers, as the key actors in the educational system, have been adequately equipped with the necessary resources to ensure the success of the transformational program. This investment in teachers ensures that they can effectively implement the new educational system.

” I further explained how teachers who are the center of the educational enterprise have adequately been equipped with the right resources to ensure the transformational program of the educational system becomes a reality.” He Said.

In closing, Dr. Adutwum emphasized the efforts being made to create a conducive classroom environment that values and encourages students’ ideas and perspectives. By fostering critical thinking skills within students, Ghana aims to develop a future generation of innovative thinkers.
