Ghana Education Service Announces Confirmation and Promotion Opportunities for Teaching Staff

The Ghana Education Service has issued a significant notice regarding confirmation and promotion procedures for teaching staff members in the region.

The Municipal Director of Education- Kumasi, Mrs. Dorothy Opare-Baidu, has directed all headteachers to ensure that this announcement reaches every teacher within their respective schools.

Confirmation Process for New Entrants

New entrants who were officially assigned by the Director General or Regional Director on or before the year 2022 are required to submit their applications for confirmation. The applications, along with the necessary supporting documents, should be addressed to the Municipal Director. This confirmation process aims to solidify the status of these teaching staff members within the education system.

Promotion Opportunity for Lower Ranks

In an effort to enhance professional growth, the Ghana Education Service is offering an opportunity for promotion to lower-ranked teachers. Those currently holding the position of Senior Superintendent II have the chance to advance to Senior Superintendent I. To be eligible for this promotion, candidates must have been appointed by the Director General or Regional Director on or prior to 2018, and they should have maintained an uninterrupted tenure since that time.

Application Submission Deadline

Teachers who are interested in either the confirmation or promotion processes must submit their applications along with the required documents to the Municipal Director. The deadline for submission of applications is set for Wednesday, August 24, 2023. This timeline ensures that all interested parties have ample time to compile and present their applications.

For further inquiries or more information about the application procedures and requirements, teachers are advised to reach out to the Head of Department for Supervision at the Education Office.

The Ghana Education Service remains committed to recognizing and fostering the professional growth of its dedicated teaching staff, ensuring the continued delivery of quality education throughout the region.
