Finally, Guinness World Records has reviewed the results submitted to them by Efua Asantewaa’s team in an attempt to break the Longest Singing marathon by an individual. Unfortunately, the results are not as expected. A release by the GWR on 23rd February 2024.
Here is his GWR’s Response
”Unfortunately, Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. we’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans. The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts”

All has come to an end, 126 hours 52 minutes, now to be reviewed by the Guinness World Records.
The Guinness World Record for the longest Singing Marathon by an individual lasting over 105 hours was achieved by Sunil Waghmare in India.
A Ghanaian lady, Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum is set to break a Guinness record for longest singing marathon this December.
She is expected to sing for over 117 hours or more to break the current world record which stands at 105 hours and happened in 2012. 4 Days and 21 Hours.
She’s not to repeat songs and each song will not be more or less than 2mins. This means she’s going to sing over 3,200 Ghanaian songs if she’s to break the current record.
This attempt is strictly for Ghanaian songs. She is doing this to promote Ghanaian music, from Gospel to High Life to Hip Life to Azonto to Afrobeats, etc.
