Tragically, some teachers lose their lives due to accidents, such as capsized canoes, while attempting to reach their schools. Regrettably, students also suffer similar fates. Furthermore, the absence of basic amenities like internet and network coverage hinders teachers’ professional development.

In urban areas, teachers have opportunities to supplement their income through business ventures. However, their counterparts in rural settings must wait for years before being considered for a transfer, limiting their prospects for progress.

Consider the challenges faced by teachers in these remote areas. How long could you endure such conditions? It’s unjust to criticize circumstances you haven’t experienced firsthand.

Witness the dedication of teachers crossing rivers to reach their schools – don’t they deserve a risk allowance?

Moreover, if schools in deprived areas lack adequate accommodation, is it unreasonable for teachers to request housing allowances from the government?

Similarly, urban teachers who spend a significant portion of their salaries on commuting expenses should be entitled to transport allowances, akin to their counterparts in other sectors.

Let’s cultivate a culture of appreciation for our teachers.

Their sacrifices deserve recognition and support. Many have tragically lost their lives due to the lack of nearby medical facilities.

It’s time to act and ensure that our Teachers are provided with the resources and allowances they need to thrive. By honoring our teachers, we honor our nation and pave the way for a brighter future.
