The University of Education in Winneba places significant importance on students’ exposure to course content and the benefits of classroom interaction. For Level 100 students, absenteeism for a cumulative period of 21 days will result in withdrawal from the program and disqualification from end-of-semester exams. Failing more than three courses may lead to complete withdrawal, with the possibility of reapplying.
Level 200 to 400 students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 1.0 to progress. Failing up to three courses at the end of the first semester allows re-sitting. Failing more than three courses in an academic year can lead to probation or repetition. If the student continues to fail after the probationary period, they may be awarded a Diploma.
Level 400 students can re-sit trailed courses before graduation. Re-sit exams are organized by semester, and results are published promptly. Students with health-related issues can apply for supplementary exams. General rules for re-sit exams include a probation period, a limit on repeating a level, and fees for re-sitting papers.
