The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association has just announced a crucial update regarding the disbursement of Teacher Trainee allowances. In an official statement released today, the NEC revealed the following information:
1. The long-awaited allowance payment has finally been confirmed and is scheduled to be disbursed within this week. This news comes as a relief to many Teacher Trainees who have eagerly awaited the allowance.
2. However, there is a slight change in the payment structure. The allowance component for Trainees has been reduced to GHc 149.00. This adjustment was made based on a request from PRINCOF to the Ministry of Education (MoE) last academic year. The reduction aims to supplement the feeding of Trainees and will be effective starting this academic year.
Despite this reduction, the NEC would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all Teacher Trainees for their patience, commitment, and support throughout the fight for the restoration of the Teacher Trainee allowance.
