GES Interdicts West Africa SHS Headmistress for Unauthorized Collection of Funds from Students

19TH JULY, 2023 – The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken swift action by interdicting Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, the Headmistress of West Africa SHS, for engaging in the unauthorised collection of money from students. This decision was made in order to uphold the principles of transparency and fairness within the education system.

In compliance with the interdiction, Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori is required to hand over the administration of the school to the Regional Director of Education with immediate effect. This will ensure the smooth running of the institution during the investigation and pending the final determination of the case by the Regional Disciplinary Committee.

The GES is committed to maintaining the integrity of educational institutions and promoting an environment conducive to learning. Any acts negating these values will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against those involved.

The GES advises students, parents, and stakeholders to remain vigilant in reporting any acts of misconduct or unauthorized activities within educational institutions. Together, we can create a safe and supportive educational environment for all.
