Under Section 60 of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020, Act 1023, which
mandates the National Teaching Council to establish standards for the teaching profession, the
Council has developed the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS) to ensure professionalism
among teachers.

The Council intends to conduct compliance checks within March and April
2024, in all Second Cycle Institutions in the Ashanti Region by its mandate.

To aid the Compliance Officers in this exercise, the Council requests all Heads of the Second Cycle
Institutions (both Public and Private) in the region to provide data on all teachers in their
schools, both professionals and non-professionals, before the coming of the Compliance
Officers.

The Council requests your consideration in bringing this to the notice of all Heads of the Second
Cycle (both Public and Private) in the Ashanti Region.

The completed template shall be sent to the Council not later than 10th March 2024 via
grace.duah@ntc.gov.gh/ francis.addai@ntc.gov.gh, or be handed to the Compliance Officers
upon their visit to the institutions.
