CCT-GH Presents Affordable Housing Scheme for Educators: Building a Bright Future

CCT-GH Housing Scheme and Building Materials Monthly Deduction Forms

In a significant stride towards ensuring the well-being of educators, CCT-GH proudly introduces its pioneering housing project tailored for teachers. The CCT-GH Affordable Housing Project has garnered immense support from members and other teachers, addressing a pressing need within the teaching community.

Affordable Housing, Truly Attainable

The resonating question of affordability echoes throughout the teaching community. Aiming to break the norm where affordable housing remains elusive, CCT-GH is determined to redefine affordability. The prevailing skepticism surrounding affordable housing is acknowledged, but this project is set to chart a new course.

Unveiling the Initiative

The project’s official launch took place on December 10, 2022, a momentous occasion witnessed by many. The union is actively engaged in negotiations to ensure that the project’s pricing remains moderate and genuinely accessible to all its members.

Determining the Cost

Teachers are eager to know the cost structure of this groundbreaking initiative. The project’s true success hinges on the affordability quotient. Unlike other schemes that might transform into exclusive avenues, CCT-GH is resolute in offering teachers housing without compromising their financial stability.

Breaking Down the Phases

Phase 1: Land Acquisition

The initial phase, currently underway, revolves around land acquisition by members. Chairman Mr. Isaac Laud Anderson, in an exclusive conversation with Seekernewsgh, divulged that phase one entails securing plots of land. Land has already been procured in select areas for members to embark on their development journeys.

The ultimate vision is to craft a thriving estate for all CCT-GH members. Noteworthy locations earmarked for phase one include Nyinasenase and Abuakwa Agogo in the Ashanti Region, Kodee in the Ashanti Region, Abrankese in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, and Ojobi in the Central Region.

Phase 2: Building the Units

Phase two centers on the construction of housing units, allowing members to customize their preferred accommodations. This progressive approach ensures that the project caters to diverse needs.

Empowering Progress: Building Materials Provision

Responding to a common query among members, CCT-GH has embraced the concept of progress. Beginning in 2023, educators who have initiated their building projects can procure building materials like roofing sheets, tiles, cement, and iron rods from authorized vendors. The cost of these materials will be deducted conveniently.

Flexible Payment Methods

CCT-GH recognizes the need for flexible payment methods. Members have three options for payment:

  1. Deductions via the Controller and Accountant General’s Department.
  2. Instant payment for those with the full amount.
  3. Non-affordability payment for members who may require alternative arrangements.

Inclusion and Expansion

Is the Scheme Exclusively for Members?

Seekersnewsgh endeavors to provide clarity on a pertinent query—whether the scheme is accessible to non-members as well. While the initial phase of the project caters exclusively to CCT-GH members, the potential for expansion and inclusion of other groups remains open for future phases.
