CAGD Release: CAP 30 Pensioners National Identification Card / Biometric Data Verification Exercise.

The Government of Ghana, acting through the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department is undertaking CAP 30 PENSIONERS NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARD/ BIOMETRIC DATA VERIFICATION EXERCISE.

This is to link up the NIA numbers with the pension database and also clean up the database to ensure the payment of benefits to legitimate pensioners.

To ensure a smooth and successful verification, all pensioners must present the following documents in person at the designated verification centers.

Ghana Card (Copy of the front and back) Pension Advice Pension Form 1.

Those who don’t have the pension Advice and Pension Form 1 can submit the front and back copy of their Pension ID Card.

The verification exercise will take place at the following locations:
1. CAGD Head Office Annex, Room 103
2. CAGD Regional Offices
3. Various Pensions Associations Offices/Meeting points
4. Finance Offices of all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs)

The verification exercise will span two (2) months, commencing on the 3rd of July and will end on the 31st of August 2023.

All eligible pensioners must adhere to the timeframe to ensure they continue to receive their pension benefits without interruption.

Ghanaian CAP 30 pensioners residing abroad are also required to participate in the verification exercise.

They should submit copies of the required documents to their respective Foreign Missions. Those who don’t have the Ghana Card must still submit the other documents together with their completed Life Certificates to the Missions while taking steps to obtain their Ghana Card.
