The Government College of Education offers competitive fees for both day scholars and boarders, making it a cost-effective choice for your educational journey:

Day Scholar: K800 per term or K2400 per year
Boarder: K1800 per term or K5400 per year

This diploma course spans three years, and the total program costs are as follows:

Day Scholar: K7200 for the entire program
Boarder: K16200 for the entire program

Minimum Entry Requirement

To apply for teacher training, you must meet the minimum entry requirements, which vary depending on the program:

For PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHING:

A FULL Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or GCE with at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credits, including English Language.

For JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHING:

A FULL Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or GCE with at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject.

Applicants with certificates not issued in Zambia require clearance from the Examinations Council of Zambia.

Applicants should be between the ages of seventeen (17) and thirty-five (35) by January 1, 2024. Keep in mind that only candidates who meet the minimum entry requirements are eligible for selection.

Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply to colleges that accommodate their needs. There are options available for individuals with visual impairments and hearing impairments in various locations.
