DECLARATION OF VACANCY-HEAD OF BASIC SCHOOL – GES
The Ghana Education Service, Municipal Education Office in Nsawam, has declared a vacancy for the position of Head of Basic School. Qualified and serving officers are invited to apply for the position.
Applicants must be graduate professional teachers ranked Assistant Director I or above, hold a minimum of a first degree, and be computer literate.
A second degree in the relevant field is advantageous. Good communication skills and a satisfactory work history in the Ghana Education Service are also required.
The application deadline is 16th February 2024, and interested candidates must submit specified documents to the Municipal Director of Education in Nsawam.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified serving officers for appointment as Head of Basic
School and subsequent posting in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
How to become a Headteacher at the Basic School in GES 2024
Interested applicants must satisfy the following:
• Be a graduate professional teacher on the rank of Assistant Director I or above
• Should have a minimum qualification of First Degree
A second degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage
Be a Computer literate.
Should have good communication skills, both oral and written
Should have a satisfactory work history in the Ghana Education Service
Interested applicants should submit four (4) copies of each of the following
A filled application form obtained from the Municipal Education Office (Nsawam)
• Completed Appraisal forms duly endorsed by the applicant’s Head of Institution
• Academic and professional certificates
• Passport-size photographs
• Filled personal record forms duly signed by the immediate supervisor
• Confidential report from immediate supervisor
All application forms and relevant documents should reach the Municipal Director of Education,
Nsawam on or before 16th February 2024.
