NTC Begins Teacher License Inspections for Public and Private school Teachers across the Country
In a letter sighted by seekersnewsgh.com, the NTC has written a request for data on teachers to the Director General of Education, requesting data on all teachers both Private and Public.

REQUEST FOR DATA ON TEACHERS IN SECOND-CYCLE INSTITUTIONS
Under Section 60(1) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020, Act 1023, which mandates the National Teaching Council to establish standards for the teaching profession, the Council has developed the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS) to ensure professionalism
among teachers.
The Council intends to conduct compliance checks within March and April
2024, in all Second Cycle Institutions in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta, Central, and Western
Regions by its mandate.
To aid the Compliance Officers in this exercise, the Council requests all Heads of Second Cycle Institutions (both Public and Private) in the selected regions to provide data on all teachers in their schools, both professionals and non-professionals, before the coming of the Compliance Officers.
The Council requests your consideration in bringing this to the notice of all Heads of Second Cycle Institutions (both Public and Private) in the above-named regions.
The completed template shall be sent to the Council via the appropriate channel.

For Non. Professional Teachers, the certificate of authority to teach code is required. This Code was given to non-professional teachers already in the system by NTC after a workshop was organized for them. The Nonprofessional Teachers that attended were given the certificate with the Code.
