As some are taking illegal allowances and have been instructed to take them down and make a refund, others maybe be due and are not benefiting as fair wages and salary commission hit grounds for Payroll Auditing. The fair wages and salary commission has made recommendations for the payment of Subscription Allowance to certain categories of non-teaching Staff in the Ghana Education Service.

All Regional Directors of Education are by a letter requested to obtain data for such beneficiaries.

ALLOWANCE FOR GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE NON-TEACHING STAFF

Following a series of stakeholder engagements, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission
made recommendations to the Ministry of Finance for the payment of Subscription
Allowance to identify non-teaching professionals within GES who are required by GES’
Scheme to maintain a professional status by possessing professional certificates for
practice within the Service.

Request for Data

In light of the above, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission would be grateful if GES
could furnish the Commission with relevant data.

The deadline for submission is 29th May 2023.

Others will communicate with your school to obtain the information through Metro/Municipal/District Education Office. Make yourself available and provide the necessary documents if you are contacted directly.
