NTC Release 2023 GTLE Results; Check Reforms Data

The National Teaching Council (NTC) is scheduled to release the results of the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 on December 21, 2023.

The GTLE 2 results indicate that out of 20,181 candidates, 52.6% passed, while 47.4% failed. The results can be checked on the NTC online portal using registration pins or examination index numbers and phone numbers.

Performance in core subjects, such as Early Childhood/Grade Pedagogy and Primary/JHS Pedagogy, varied, with the latter group performing better.

Elective subjects showed diverse pass rates, with 53 out of 63 subjects recording a 50% or more pass rate. However, subjects like Accounting, and Agric. Sc., and Physics had pass rates of less than 50%, with some recording a 0% pass rate.

The GTLE 3 results include fresh and re-sit candidates. Among the fresh candidates (4,724), 45.1% passed, while 54.9% failed. Re-sit candidates (6,756) had a 45.6% overall pass rate, with variations in pass rates for different resit attempts.

These statistics provide an overview of the performance of candidates in the 2023 GTLE, highlighting subject-wise and category-wise pass rates.

Total Fail: 9556 (47.4%)

CHECKING OF RESULTS

All candidates can check their results from the NTC online portal at exams.ntc.gov.gh by using either their pins given during registration or their examination index numbers and phone numbers.

Candidates are advised to print their provisional certificates after checking the results.

STATISTICS ON 2023 GTLE 3 (TRADITIONAL SUBJECTS)

The 2023 GTLE 3 has two categories of candidates. These are fresh and re-sit candidates.

Number of Fresh Candidates: 4724

Total Pass: 2130 (45.1%)

Total Fail: 2594 (54.9%)

Pass None 690 (14.6%)

Pass 1: 831 (17.6%)

Pass 2: 1073 (22.7%)

Number of Re-sit Candidates: 6756

Resat l : 4128 (61.1%) Pass None: 2537 (37.6%)
Resat 2: 1764 (26.1%) Pass 1: 3272 (48.4%)
Resat 3: 864 (12.1%) Pass 2: 817 (12.1%) Pass 3: 130 (1.9%)
