How to apply for i7 Laptops and Tablets with WiFi Internet connectivity if you are a Private School/Teacher -GNACOPS

Supply of 200,000 plus i7 Laptops and 1 million Tablets with WiFi Internet connectivity to all Private Schools and Teachers -GNACOPS

The Launch

GNACOPS- in August launched the Digital Solutions to Education. Which comes with the supply of Laptops, Tablets and Connectivity thus routers to private schools and Teachers in the private schools.

The Ghana National Council of Private Schools in partnership with Celltel Networks Limited and P2S Ghana limited is providing internet connectivity with the highest speed to all private schools and teachers in Ghana to boost educational delivery.

This project is aimed at distributing 200,000 plus Laptops with WiFi routers to the teachers for them to use 36 months to pay. Installing one million educational Tablets in classrooms for all the students in Private Schools will connect them to a global education platforms such as
CISCO, FACEBOOK, GOOGLE.

This nationwide connectivity in private education is a major significant change to bring a greater heights to the educational system.

According to GNACOPS they are not selling Laptops to Teachers but the connectivity is what they are selling just that one cannot be connected without the Laptops but their priority is to connect all teachers and private schools.

The celltel Router uses Satellite and not Fiber Optics hence can be used in every part of the country.

The celltell Router has been tested across the country and its working perfectly well even during cloudy days.

Some schools have received theirs and are connected already.

A school gets Tablets install at the ICT Labs which has educational software preloaded on it.

MODE OF PAYMENT

A school will pay through monthly installment for 36 month at any of banks mentioned by GNACOPS. These Banks includes

Cal Bank

Access Bank

Eco Bank

A Teacher would also have to open an account with the bank and pay monthly for the gadgets for 36 month. If by any reason one can not pay by the 36 month, one can just speak to the Bank and they will reschedule the mode of payment.

You don’t need to pay for the Gadget in full, just pick an order forms and fill, The bank pays for the lump sum for you to the service provider.The next thing is for you to collect your items and be paying monthly to the Bank with no extra interest on the amount.

CAN ANYONE APPLY?

Now the Target margin is for the  private schools . Hence anyone that wish to apply eg. Public school Teachers who wish to apply must do so through a private school.

 

According to the National Executive Director of GNACOPS- Obenfo Nana Gyetuah Enoch; The council is putting things in place to improve the welfare of private school Teachers. The Unionism and a data base which will provide details of all members eg. is the provision of the ID cards which is being worked on to provide members with a whole lot of benefits.
